Results: 3rd out 10 teams
Highlights: ISU broke school records in the 200-yard freestyle relay and 50-yard freestyle. The relay team of Marissa Yontz, Samantha Schuckles, Alexis Nash and Katherine Nelson finished in second place with a time of 1:33.77. Yontz broke the school record and won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.15.

Highlights: A number of swimmers set personal-bests on the second day in Akron. Marissa Yontz won the 200-yard freestyle, Yvette Kruk set a personal-best in the 200-yard freestyle, Katie Breger finished in 12th place in the 100-yard butterfly, Rachel Holm finished in sixth place in the 100-yard breaststroke, and Rachel Root finished in third place in the 100-yard backstroke.
Men’s Track and Field

Event: EIU Early Bird Invite
Highlights: The men’s and women’s track & field teams had the first event of the indoor season Friday. Chase Pavelonis broke the indoor school record in the pole vault, jumping 16-06.75. The previous record stood for 26 years after Darren Nichols maked 16-06.00 in 1988.
Women’s Track and Field

Event: EIU Early Bird Invite
Highlights: Jianna Williams threw for a personal-best 51-03.50 in the shot put which was three feet further than her previous best. Williams also earned two first-place medals on the day in the weight throw and shot put.
Volleyball
Date: Dec. 4
Opponent: Marquette
Results: ISU 3, Marquette 2
Highlights: The Redbirds won by scores of 23-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22, and 15-13. The tournament win marked just the third in ISU history and the first victory away from home.

Results: Wisconsin 3, ISU 0
Highlights: The Badgers came to town and handed ISU their only straight-set loss of the season and ended ISU-school record 23-match winning streak.
Football Preview
Date: Dec. 13
Opponent: Eastern Washington
Highlights: The Redbirds will hit the road to take on Eastern Washington in the Quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. central time. The number four seed, Eastern Washington, beat Montana 37-20 to advance to the Quarterfinals. The winner of this game will take on the winner of New Hampshire vs. Chattanooga which will take place this Friday at 7 p.m. central time.
